The John Dillon Award

The John J. Dillon Service Award program recognizes members who contribute outstanding service to our association and its members. A listing of each year’s honorees are displayed in the “John J. Dillon Service Hall of Fame” at the PASR Headquarters in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. This year's CCCPASR recipient is Barb Lee.  Barb has worked very hard as chair of the Social Services/Memorial Honor Fund for the chapter by locating information on members in need of a little moral support. Congratulations, Barb, on a job well done!

Volunteer of the Year

The Cumberland County PASR Community Service Chair, Joanne Benedict, presented the PASR Volunteer of the Year pin and certificate of congratulations to Linda Biesecker at the October 2023 general membership meeting and luncheon.  Linda retired from West Shore school District in 2011 after 35 years of service as a Special Education and Instructional Support teacher.  Linda was recognized for her many years of volunteering for multiple groups and activities, including helping kindergarteners at Red Mill Elementary School review and practice skills in phonics and listening to them read.  She also is involved with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Caitlin's Smiles and the GIving Pantry at Grace Lutheran Church.  CCCPASR salutes Linda for her generous giving to others.
