Volunteer Opportunities
American Cancer Society
At the July 2, 2019, PASR monthly meeting, Bill Neugebauer introduced his neighbor, Michelle Johnson, who is involved with the American Cancer Society's "Road to Recovery" program. They are looking for volunteers to provide transportation for cancer patients to appointments, chemo treatments, etc. The program serves Blair and Bedford Counties and allows for a great deal of flexibility for its volunteers. Volunteers must complete an ACS training program, watch an online video (30 min.), and have background checks completed. Ms. Johnston provided bookmarks with further information or one may register through cancer.org/drive or call 1-800-227-2345.
