SCHOLARSHIPS

The Greene County Association of School Retirees is pleased to award a $1000 scholarship to a graduating senior from each of the county high schools plus the Greene County Career and Technology Center who has been accepted at an accredited institution of higher learning or a trade/technical school. The award will be paid upon completion of the first semester of higher learning when a transcript is submitted to GCASR. The essay prompt was "What is it about your chosen field of post-secondary college or technical education that appeals to you and that has attracted you to that area of study?"

The scholarship committee was busy during April and May with the selection and presentation of the six GCASR post high school $1000 scholarships. These were presented to one senior at the school awards assembly at each of the Greene County High Schools and the GCCTC. We received 21 applications for these scholarships.
